Meet Our Doctors

​​​​​Dr. Bird is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2009. 

For Dr. Jennifer Bird, eye care is about more than helping patients see clearly. It is about listening carefully, identifying concerns early, and making every patient feel comfortable and confident in their care. As the new owner of Cypress Family Eyecare, Dr. Bird is committed to continuing the practice’s tradition of personalized, professional care while building lasting relationships with the patients and families it serves.

During her clinical training, Dr. Bird completed internships at Naval Medical Center San Diego and the Eye Center of Texas, where she worked alongside optometrists and ophthalmologists in the evaluation and management of a broad range of vision and eye-health conditions. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, and Harris County Optometric Society.

Dr. Bird is known for her thorough examinations, attentive listening, and ability to explain findings in a clear and approachable way. She believes patients receive the best care when they understand their eye health, feel comfortable asking questions, and are actively involved in decisions about their treatment.

Her approach combines clinical experience, modern diagnostic technology, and a genuine commitment to treating each patient as an individual. Whether providing preventive care, managing an ongoing condition, or evaluating an unexpected eye concern, Dr. Bird focuses on delivering thoughtful recommendations and a reassuring patient experience.

Dr. Bird is also the founder of Bird’s Eye View Optometry, established in 2012. As owner of Cypress Family Eyecare, she looks forward to serving the Cypress community and helping patients protect their vision and eye health for years to come.

​​​​​Dr. Linda Bui is an enthusiastic optometrist with a passion for improving vision and eye health. Dr. Bui is known for providing compassionate, patient-centered care and employs the latest advancements in optometric technology. She is committed to helping patients achieve their best vision through comprehensive eye exams, personalized treatment plans, and preventive care. Her expertise encompasses a wide range of services, including managing various ocular diseases, fitting an extensive collection of contact lenses, and offering pre- and post-operative care for eye surgeries.

Dr. Bui enjoys bouldering and experimenting with new food recipes.

​​​​​Dr. Oevermann is a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist dedicated to providing comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages. For decades, he has earned the trust of families throughout the Cypress community by combining clinical excellence with compassionate, personalized care.

In 2026, Dr. Oevermann proudly transitioned ownership of the practice to Dr. Jennifer Bird, ensuring that the practice will continue serving the community with the same patient-centered philosophy and commitment to excellence for years to come. While stepping away from ownership, Dr. Oevermann continues to see patients and remains an active part of the practice, allowing patients to continue receiving care from the doctor they have known and trusted.

Dr. Oevermann is classically trained in prescribing glasses and contact lenses and has completed extensive postgraduate education in the diagnosis and treatment of eye disease. As a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, he diagnoses and manages glaucoma and treats a wide range of ocular diseases and infections using both topical and oral medications.

A native Houstonian, Dr. Oevermann lives in Cypress with his wife. They are proud parents of four grown children and, in recent years, have embraced traveling together in their RV whenever time allows.
